Our Organization
The Kingsway Youth Field Hockey (KYFH) program brings together children in Kindergarten through 8th grade from the Kingsway Regional School sending district for an instructional and competitive program where basic field hockey skills are taught and practiced in a supervised setting under the guidance of our coaches. Our goal is to help children develop confidence, discipline, and respect, understand the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork, and learn to love the sport of field hockey.
KYFH belongs to the South Jersey Field Hockey (SJFH) League, a competitive and organized league that includes teams from Cherry Hill, Cinnaminson, Clearview, Collingswood, Franklin Twp, Gloucester City, Gloucester Twp, Haddon Heights, Haddon Twp, Hammonton, Medford, Millville, Moorestown, Pittsgrove, Washington Twp, West Deptford and Woodstown.
Itty Bitty Badgers Clinic (Grades Kindergarten, 1, & 2)
The KYFH instructional clinic for participants in Kindergarten through 2nd grades teaches the fundamental skills of field hockey including proper hand positioning and stick holding, dribbling, passing, dodging, and field positioning. Participants will also get a chance to scrimmage one another as the season goes on. This is a great way to introduce the sport to develop interest, and more importantly, to have fun! Participants will receive a Kingsway Youth Field Hockey t-shirt and will meet on Sundays at Kingsway Regional High School for 6 weeks in September & October. There will also be a tournament at the end of the season for all participants. All participants are required to have a field hockey stick, mouthguard, and shinguards at every practice.
